The design of a series of historical books. The scope of work includes the comprehensive design of the covers and the layout of the interior, as well as the typesetting of all the publications, preparation for print, and cooperation with the printing house.
The logo of the Institute and the publisher’s mark used on book spines were also designed by me.
The cover photographs are cropped wide to frame the central theme. The resulting vast areas of smooth background and even texture make the compositions spacious and contemplative.
For the series, I chose uncoated paper with a slight cream hue, which harmonises with the historical content. Using solid colour backgrounds lent a more artistic character to the series.
